Privacy notice

Have your data protection lead review this page before the event and add your legal entity name, address and the identity of your data protection contact.

What we collect

• Your full name, email address and mobile number.
• Whether you are a trader, an introducing broker, or exploring, and, for traders, your stated experience level.
• Whether you opted in to marketing.
• Technical details captured automatically: your IP address, browser user agent, and the times of your registration and confirmation. These exist to keep the draw fair and to prevent automated or duplicate entries.

Why we use it

• To run the draw: verifying your email, issuing your entry number, drawing a winner and handing over the prize. This is necessary to provide the thing you asked for.
• To protect the draw: detecting duplicate and automated entries. This is our legitimate interest in a fair draw.
• To send marketing: only if you ticked the optional box, and only until you unsubscribe. Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link.

Your photo

If you make a picture to share after registering, your photo is combined with the frame on your own phone, in the browser. It is never uploaded to us, we never see it, and there is nothing for us to store or delete.

What we never do

• We do not sell your details.
• We do not require a deposit or trading activity, and entering does not open an account.
• We do not use your details for marketing if you did not opt in.

How long we keep it

Entry records are kept until the draw is completed and the prize awarded, and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can answer questions about the result. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your contact details until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed registrations, where the emailed code was never entered, are deleted automatically.

Who can see it

Our own event and marketing staff, and the email provider that delivers your code and entry number. We do not share your details with anyone else unless we are required to by law.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop marketing to you at any time. Email goldrush@sgfx.com and include your entry number if you have one. Deleting your details before the draw removes your entry from it.
